Innovation and legislation has led to the emergence of a relatively new category of access equipment. Work platforms and podiums have largely replaced the use of step ladders for longer duration work at low levels.

Work Platform - EN 131, NF P93-353 & NF P93-352 maximum static vertical load 150 kg, duty rating 150 kg

Podium Steps - The total load (1 person plus tools & materials) should not be more than 150 kg

Podium steps and work platforms are deemed to be safer by health and safety officials.
